In order to write good project specification, it was necessary to identify the detailed root causes of several valve failures and suggest a type of technical solution for each valve failure.
The writing of the official tender was done in cooperation with the maintenance and purchasing departments.
THE CHALLENGE
Main challenge was to find the real root causes of the different failures looking at various maintenance reports and photos including on-site parts inspections.
THE STRATEGY
Set-up an ad hoc team from several departments to review historical maintenance and procurement data of corresponding parts.
